Mute video
Web: for supported WebM, a first-party bounded container path removes every audio track without changing encoded video packets or source resolution. Other browser-decodable sources are re-rendered locally as runtime-supported MP4/WebM. Input is capped at 512 MiB and 600 s; at most 36,000 video packets/frames and 256 MiB output. The fallback is additionally capped at 1,920 px per edge / 2,073,600 pixels. iOS may differ. No upload.

Frequently asked questions
Which video formats work on the web?
A bounded WebM container profile with exactly one video track, optional audio tracks and unlaced video blocks is processed without re-encoding. Other sources must decode in the browser and use the local MP4/WebM re-rendering fallback; MOV is not universally promised.
Which exact limits apply?
Input: at most 512 MiB and 600 s, 4,096 px per edge / 8,847,360 pixels; at most 36,000 video packets/frames and 256 MiB output. Lossless WebM keeps source resolution; the re-rendering fallback is capped at 1,920 px per edge / 2,073,600 pixels.
Is a video uploaded?
No. Container processing, optional re-rendering and result verification stay on your device.
