Can I bypass a forgotten PDF password?
No. The existing password must be known before protection can be removed. The tool does not try to guess passwords.
Which encryption is used when protecting a PDF?
The locally bundled qpdf-WASM build creates AES-256 encryption using Unicode password mode.
Is there a fixed file-size or runtime limit?
PDFs up to 150 MB are processed completely in the local qpdf worker. A timeout and the cancel control prevent a damaged file from blocking the page indefinitely.
